Breastfeeding your baby is a gift that will last a lifetime. Even though it is a natural process, it is a skill which must be learned by both mother and baby.
As a Postpartum Doula, I obtained my Lactation Counselor Certificate in order to be a better resource to you during what is likely to be the steepest part of your breastfeeding learning curve. I can assist you with recognizing a good latch, positionning, and comfort measures.
I also provide a local referal list of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants and can help to determine when more help is needed.
